Uniwell uses single-core and multi-core cables with low contact resistances for EMC shielding and for high-voltage connections. With one input and two outputs, in hybrid and electric vehicles, for example, enables power to be routed directly to the auxiliary units. Future high-voltage wiring systems require reliable, robust and safe power distribution due to their constantly growing complexity. The use of HV splices and HV power distribution boxes to reduce possible sources of failure and consequently to optimize weight, packaging space and EMC are a key to success in such HV architectures. All these include, among other things, auxiliary components (HV splices), charging and traction harness components for larger wire cross-sections. A typical splice can distribute power to several HV components (e.g. from 5 A to 300 A and up to 800 V DC) and includes safety devices.
